The Sailors Falls Team Builder- Activity Outline.
Secret Forest Walks has developed an innovative and fun Team Building activity located at Sailors Falls Reserve, 5km south of Daylesford.
The Reserve features picturesque twin waterfalls (seasonal), tall forest, a mineral water spring, toilets and an information shelter.
Secret Forest Walks has combined bush walking using hand held GPS units for navigation, with a GPS Treasure Hunt, to create a new and engaging activity for team building.
Designed for up to four groups, with a maximum of ten in each group, participants share the roles of navigator and 'Treasure Hunters' as they travel on specially selected tracks in the vicinity of the Falls.
There are three levels of physical challenge available but each group travels through the GPS Treasure Hunt zone, locating hidden coloured posts or 'Treasure Points'. At each post, a discussion topic, quiz question, a piece of a puzzle or special treat can be attached for the finders to respond to. The activities presented at each post can reflect your goals, values or objectives, or just be for fun. We are happy to consult on individual requirements for this activity. Our partner Psychologist who is experienced in team development programs can assist in formulating discussion topics, questions or activities. Additional fees apply.
The Benefits The GPS Navigation and GPS Treasure Hunt is both fun and enjoyably challenging, while fostering productive and positive conversations that could form the basis of later reflection. Collaborative skills are encouraged and the new and innovative mix of technology, recreation and the natural environment can promote communication and awareness amongst new and established members of the group. It is not designed to be strenuous and suits a wide range of ability levels. This activity is an ideal refresher for organisations and conference participants.
