Bullarto Walk 1
Time: Allow 90 mins walking time
Terrain: Mainly flat to moderate slopes
Direction of travel: Clockwise
Telstra: Poor/no reception
Notes: One of our most popular walks, The Bullarto Walk is a varied and fulfilling walk. The walk takes in some supremely lush, green forest with a tall tree canopy, grasses, ferns and also some tree ferns (my favourites) lining the Kangaroo Creek. There are some lovely and secluded grassy picnic spots beside the creek. Keep a look out for a huge wombat hole and some remarkable eucalypts. Midway is the Bullarto Reservoir, a small, peaceful and little known body of water nestled in the forest. It is ideal for a relaxing picnic. It is usually deserted, so itís a bit like having your own private lake. The return to your car is through grassy, mature forest and includes the biggest tree in the Wombat forest that I have seen in my many years of exploring. The Bullarto Walk will fill you with a sense of wonder and harmony.
