This walk offers a great variety of scenic and natural features. Throughout the walk there are mature stands of Messmate and Mountain Ash eucalypts. Grasses and mid story plants complete the picture, as well as a rain forest like resting point beside a seasonal stream. Then it gets hilly. There are superb elevated views of the Great Dividing Range, especially the panorama from the ‘Secret Hill’, which is an extinct volcano 860m above sea level near the end of the walk. It’s a very rewarding conclusion to a rich and involving walk.
