The Leonards Hill Wind Farm is an imposing renewable energy structure on a green hilltop. It forms the centrepiece of the walk, with a viewing point not far from the twin turbines. The way there is via regenerating forest and shady, mossy paths.

The return features a hidden valley of sword grass, almost luminous during the summer months. Nearby, a huge Wedge Tailed Eagles nest sits in the fork of a tall Manna gum, beckoning you to scan the sky for the tenants.
This walk speaks to the irrepressibility of nature and our better efforts to harness it.
