Notes: The Blowhole Trek extends the Blowhole Walk (above) with its secluded water channel tracks and gold workings. Added is a lengthy ridge line path that affords great views to the north and Mt Franklin (Lalgambook), a prominent landmark and extinct volcano. The return leg through open Box forest has elevated views back into Daylesford and Wombat hill and concludes with a walk above the Sailors Creek gorge and the Blowhole itself, an iconic creation from distant mining days.
This is a walk of much variety that showcases natures resilience.
